Connections and pricing

A connection is one social media account dataset — one account that Clue Labs is actively analysing and generating content for.

Clue Labs charges per connection, not per company. This means the number of connections you need depends on how many social media accounts you want to run through the platform — regardless of how many companies or brands those accounts belong to.

Examples:

One company, one Instagram account = 1 connection

One company with Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook = 3 connections (when those platforms are available)

Three separate client brands, each with one Instagram account = 3 connections

One client with two Instagram accounts (e.g. a main brand and a sub-brand) = 2 connections

The logic is straightforward: each connection is a dataset Clue Labs is working on. Each dataset requires compute, analysis, and ongoing AI processing. That's what you're paying for.

💡 Clue Labs is currently live on Instagram only. LinkedIn, Facebook, and additional platforms are coming. When they launch, connecting a new platform for an existing brand will count as an additional connection.

All plans include full access to Clue Labs features — campaigns, post suggestions, Growth Tracker, Clue Score, Newsjacking, Wild Card, Top Fans, and Next Suggestions.

To add a new brand or connection to your account:

If adding a new brand takes you over your current plan's connection limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade before proceeding.

Once you have multiple brands on your account, click your brand name in the top left to switch between them. Everything in the platform — campaigns, data, Clue Score — is scoped to the brand you have selected.

1 connection — you're managing one Instagram account, whether that's your own brand or a single client.

Up to 3 connections — you're managing two or three Instagram accounts. This could be two of your own brands, one brand with multiple accounts, or two to three client accounts.

Up to 8 connections — you're a social media manager or agency managing multiple clients, or a business with several distinct brand accounts across the same or different companies.

8+ connections — get in touch. The team will put together a setup that works for your scale.

Does each client need their own Clue Labs account? No. You manage all your brands and clients from one Clue Labs account, switching between them using the brand switcher. Each brand's data, campaigns, and settings are completely separate.

If I connect Instagram and LinkedIn for the same brand, does that count as two connections? Yes. Each social media account is its own dataset, so connecting two platforms for one brand uses two of your connections.

Can I remove a connection if I no longer need it? Yes. Contact the team via chat or email to adjust your connections.
