If your campaign has been sitting without generating any post suggestions — or if you've seen an error during generation — the cause is almost always one of two things, and the most common fix takes less than two minutes.
The most common cause: too much in the objectives field
The objectives field in campaign setup is designed for concise, specific briefs — a few clear lines about what's coming up and what you want to cover. It's not designed to receive large amounts of text.
If you've pasted in a lengthy document, copied in a full brand brief, or added paragraph after paragraph of detail into the objectives, Sam can struggle to process it and campaign generation may fail or stall.
The fix:
Delete the campaign that failed to generate.
Create a new campaign.
In the objectives step, keep each entry short and specific — one clear sentence per objective. Aim for three to five concise objectives rather than one long block of text.
If you have detailed context you want Sam to use, summarise it into key points rather than pasting it in full.

What to do if the fix doesn't work
If you've simplified your objectives and your campaign is still failing to generate, the issue may be on our end rather than yours. This occasionally happens and the team can resolve it quickly.
Contact the team via the chat icon in the bottom right of the platform and let us know:
The name of the campaign that failed
What growth goal you selected
Roughly what you included in your objectives
The team will look into it and get your campaign generating as quickly as possible.
Common questions
How long should I wait before deciding a campaign has failed to generate? If your campaign is still showing Content Generation In Progress after 10 minutes with no posts appearing, it's worth refreshing the page first. If nothing appears after a refresh, try the fix above or contact the team.
Will deleting a failed campaign lose my objectives? The campaign will be deleted and your objectives text won't be saved anywhere. Copy them before deleting so you can refer back to them when setting up the new campaign.
Can I edit the objectives on an existing campaign instead of deleting it? Not currently. If a campaign has failed to generate, delete it and create a new one with revised objectives.
