If your Instagram account isn’t syncing properly, or your content data looks outdated, resetting the connection inside Clue.Labs can solve most issues.

This guide walks you through disconnecting and reconnecting your Instagram Business or Creator account, plus how to manually trigger a refresh if needed.


🔍 When Should You Reset?

You should reset or refresh your connection if:

  • 🔄 Your latest Instagram posts aren’t appearing in Clue.Labs

  • 📉 You notice missing or outdated engagement insights

  • 🔐 You’ve recently changed your Instagram or Facebook password

  • ⚠️ Campaigns are showing errors or stalled syncing


🧭 Step-by-Step: Resetting Your Connection

📌 Step 1: Go to Brand Connections

  1. Log in to Clue.Labs

  2. Click Brand Connections in the left-hand menu

  3. You’ll see a list of your brands and their current status

📌 Step 2: Disconnect the Affected Account

  1. Find the brand you want to reset

  2. Click Deactivate (if active) or the red Disconnect Account button (top right)

  3. Confirm the disconnection when prompted

💡 This clears the current link and prepares your account for a clean reconnection.


📌 Step 3: Refresh the Dashboard

After disconnecting:

  • Refresh your browser or navigate back to Brand Connections

  • Ensure the account now shows as Inactive


📌 Step 4: Reconnect Instagram

  1. Click Connect Account (top right)

  2. Log in with your Facebook account (must be Admin of the connected Page)

  3. Select “Opt into all accounts” when prompted

  4. Choose the correct Instagram Business/Creator account

  5. Follow the Meta flow to complete the connection


🔄 Optional: Use “Sync Posts Now” for a Manual Refresh

Clue.Labs automatically syncs your Instagram posts and insights regularly — but if you want to ensure the freshest data instantly, you can click:

👉 Sync Posts Now next to your account

  • This will manually pull the latest 30 days of posts and engagement data

  • Ideal if you’ve just posted something and want Clue.Labs to pick it up immediately


✅ After Reconnecting

Once you’re reconnected:

  • 📥 Clue.Labs pulls your last 30 days of Instagram posts

  • 🧠 Your data will update and inform smarter campaign suggestions

  • 📊 Your dashboard, insights, and content ideas will reflect the latest performance


❗ Still Having Issues?

Make sure:

  • Your Instagram account is set to Business or Creator

  • It’s linked to a Facebook Page

  • You’re listed as Admin on that Page

  • You’re using the correct Facebook login during reconnection
